SIMON WHITLOCK produced a brilliant performance in Glasgow last Thursday but it wasn’t enough to avoid defeat against home-favourite Gary Anderson.

Whitlock averaged over 104 but failed to recover from a 4-1 deficit as Anderson moved level on points with the Australian, who now sits in joint fifth in the Unibet Premier League table.

Whitlock is two points from the play-off places and three clear of the elimination zone with matches to come against the league’s bottom two, Gerwyn Price and Peter Wright, before two players exit the tournament.

The Wizard plays Peter Wright in the final game of the night tonight in Belfast – you can catch the darts on SkySports from 7pm.
